Know the Game
What Is Online Roulette?
Roulette is one of the most recognised casino games in the world. The game involves a spinning wheel with numbered slots, a small ball thrown by the dealer, and a betting table where players place their bets before the wheel stops. The number or colour where the ball lands determines the winner.
At maxim888, the online roulette version brings that experience directly to Malaysian players without having to go anywhere. A smooth game interface, quality audio and sharp table graphics make each session more engaging. Whether you are playing in the morning before work or late at night after watching a Malaysia Super League match, online roulette at maxim888 is always available.
maxim888 operates under an international licence, ensuring every wheel spin runs fairly using a verified random number generator (RNG). For live roulette tables, a real dealer operates the wheel live from a studio, delivering an authentic casino atmosphere streamed directly to your device.

Options at maxim888
Types of Online Roulette
maxim888 offers several roulette variants to suit different playing styles. Learn the difference between each type before choosing your table.
European Roulette
A wheel with 37 slots — numbers 1 to 36 plus one zero slot (0). The lower house edge makes it the preferred choice for players who focus on strategy.
American Roulette
A wheel with 38 slots — including 0 and 00. The two zero slots add more betting variety but also increase the house edge compared to the European version.
French Roulette
Based on the European wheel, French Roulette adds the special rules "La Partage" and "En Prison" which benefit the player when the ball lands on the zero slot.
Live Roulette
A real dealer, a physical wheel, live broadcast from a studio. Live roulette at maxim888 lets you interact with the dealer and watch every spin in real time.
Speed Roulette
Faster spins — the time between rounds is significantly reduced. Suited to players who prefer active sessions with more bets placed in less time.
Lightning Roulette
Combines traditional roulette with random "Lightning" numbers that carry higher win multipliers for players who land on them. A popular live format.

Playing Strategies
Betting Approaches Used by Players
No strategy can guarantee a win in roulette — every spin is independent and determined randomly. Many players do, however, use bet management approaches to structure their sessions with more discipline.
Martingale
Double your bet after every loss so that one win covers all previous losses. Works best on tables with high limits, but requires a sufficient balance.
D'Alembert
Increase your bet by one unit after a loss and decrease by one unit after a win. This approach moves more slowly than Martingale and is considered lower risk over the medium term.
Fibonacci
Follow the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13…) as a guide for bet sizes. Move forward in the sequence after a loss, and step back two positions after a win.
James Bond
A flat strategy that covers high numbers, mid-range numbers and zero at the same time. Gives broader table coverage in a single round but requires a fixed stake.
